A sharp example of the 1819 ½ real from the Zacatecas mint in Mexico. This is the more common draped bust version from that year, there also being an armored bust version. The draped bust type shows many different sub-varieties, with re-punches, over-punches, and doubling. This coin is the GRATIA “I over A” variety, and also shows doubling in the date. The reverse has multiple repunches and only has one dot, missing 5. A very sharp, rare uncirculated example.
